260K AVs by 2026, Test Sample Deliveries Today

A new report from Market Study Report estimates the number of autonomous vehicles at greater than 250,000 by 2026. A separate report from Grand View Research estimates the number of AVs by 2030 at 4.2M devices.

Turning now to the present day, several AV's are finding a place on closed loops free of pedestrians. For example, the Mayo Clinic Florida recently launched a program to utilize AVs to transport COVID-19 test samples. The devices run on circuit between a test collection site and a Mayo Clinic Lab. The devices can be remotely controlled from operators.
